Keep pets, children and objects away from the border for at least 24 hours. It will be
hard to the touch at this point, but still needs several days to cure.
Please keep pets, children and objects away from New Era Edging equipment, and your new
border while it is being installed!!!
If pets or children damage border, New Era Edging will make the necessary repairs if
caught on time, however there will be additional charges for the repairs.
Sod laying, sprinkler work and landscaping can be started 24 hours after installation,
however, caution must be taken as shovels, picks and wheelbarrows can damage the border
for several more days.
Caution any landscape contractor working for you about protecting the border from
damage, use ramps to go over the border and never drive tractors or trucks over the
border.
If it begins to rain within 6 hours after we leave the job, try to cover the border with
plastic. Make sure sprinkler systems do not come on for at least 24 hours.
Efflorescence (white powder substance) can appear on occasion and does not look good on
borders. It is generated from water sprinkling systems and can appear after a rain. The
intensity of efflorescence varies depending on the hardness of the water and the volume
of water that gets on the border. If you are watering a lawn or new seedbed, be patient.
Wait until your plantings get established, then let the border dry out and clean it with
a 50/50 solution of vinegar and water with a light brushing, you may have to do this a
few times.
Once in a while borders with color in it may look "splotchy" for a few days while it is
curing, this will go away after a few days.
Concrete borders, like any other type of concrete can and will crack. We experience very
little cracking outside of the control joints that are put in our borders. If are border
were to crack and gap apart or crack and shift it will be replaced at no charge and is
covered in our one-year guarantee.
When borders are installed on slopes or after heavy rains the border may cause water to
pool. This can be fixed with simple drainage lines put under the border at the deepest
point of the water, and are the homeowner’s responsibility.
When a border is installed against an existing landscape there may be a need for minimal
mulch/stone replacement and is the homeowner’s responsibility unless included in a bid
from New Era Edging.
New Era Edging offers mulch, stone or landscaping replacement on a estimate basis only.
Damage to sprinkler lines, telephone wires, cable TV, or other buried items by our
equipment or personnel is not the responsibility of New Era Edging.

causes the defect.

the product in anyway will not be covered under the 1-year guarantee.
